Easy Expat International is looking for a Civil Resident Engineer for Lebanon. Assignment: Civil Resident Engineer with at least 20 years of experience (whereof 10 years in the dam/hydropower field). Detailed tasks assigned: Main tasks of the Civil Resident Engineer include: • Supervision of the embankment dam works and dam construction materials. • Assistance for tunnel works. • Review of shop drawings and verification of their compliance with the Detailed Construction Design drawings (for Dam and tunnel works). • Assistance to the Chief Resident Engineer/ Resident Project Manager for the review of the Bill of Principal Quantities of the Permanent Works and for verification, with the contribution of all concerned Engineer’s supervisors, of the applications for interim payment certificates issued by the Contractor. • Inspection at the Project sites and certification of accomplishment of civil works by the Contractor, as a function of the Bill of Principal Quantities of the Permanent Works (Dam and tunnel works). • Preparation of minutes of meetings. • Assistance in the review of claims and of supporting data and in the preparation of evaluation reports. • Assistance to the Resident Project Manager in all phases of construction and erection supervision and of quality control at site (for Dam and tunnel works). • Verification of the as-built drawings. Duration of the Assignment: The assignment is a long term assignment for 36 months on site. Annual leave of 30 days. One international return air ticket is paid every four months for the residents.
